Strange Part of My Bucket List: Øresundsbroen/Öresundsbron

Øresundsbron has become a part of my bucket list, and that’s all thanks to Bron/Broen. I’m a really big fan of the show, so (I think?) it’s only natural that the setting has become a part of my bucket list. I know, it seems kind of strange, I mean it’s not necessarily the big thing that pops into people’s minds when they go to Scandinavia, but it is for me! Taking the train from København to Malmö and revisiting the horrifying incident of Season 1’s finale would be cool.

It’s funny really that the show features so much crime going on in Sweden and Denmark, yet those are two of the safest countries in the world. Not that nothing horrifying happens there, but it’s a lot better in terms of safety compared to other countries.

The only two bridges that I can think of that are common tourists sights are the Golden Gate Bridge and the Sidney Harbour Bridge (I’ve been there!); and maybe the Rainbow Bridge in Tokyo? Or probably not. Point is Øresundsbron isn’t exactly a bridge you think about that’s famous.

I’m pretty sure most fans of the show have already been there, since most fans are probably Scandinavians as well. In that case I’m probably the only one who hasn’t seen or crossed it yet. I will have my chance when I go to Scandinavia. *Prays for an all expense paid trip to Scandinavia*
